Celeste LeWitt Gallery at the University of Connecticut Health Center is exhibiting the archival print editions of Gene Gort, who is a professor of media arts at the Hartford Art School. The exhibit runs from June 28 to September 26, 2012.

The prints featured are camera-less photographs from Gort's "nocamera" series, which, according to Gort's website, all of the images "have been produced by placing objects on or above a flatbed scanner. No camera has been used in the process, hence the name."

Many of the subjects are botanical in origin, and the prints achieve an extremely high level of detail, and cropped close creating a sense of deep intimacy.

There is a reception on Thursday, July 12 from 4:30 - 6 pm. The gallery is located at 263 Farmington Avenue in Farmington, CT 06030.
