The Danbury Museum and Historical Society is among the many local charities seeking donations as a part of Fairfield County Giving Day on Friday, March 7, 2014. Many familiar local arts, cultural, and charitable organizations are on the of all participating nonprofits here.

The Danbury Museum and Historical Society is one of the institutions that enriches the lives of local citizens through its programs on a daily basis, and helps maintain the cultural identity of the city.

In addition, Saturday, March 8, the museum is hosting a reception and roundtable for the exhibit "Collections, Community and Conversation" at 2 pm including curator Catherine Vanaria (WCSU professor and co-owner of Still River Editions / Connecticut Photographics), and other locals whose collections are included in the exhibition.
