"Shelf Life" at The Institute Library

Catherine Vanaria, Associate Professor of Art at Western Connecticut State University and co-owner of Still River Editions, is one of the artists featured in the exhibition “Shelf Life” at The Institute Library, 847 Chapel St., New Haven, CT from September 29 through December 29, 2018. There is an opening reception on Saturday, September 29 from 4 pm - 6 pm with an artist talk at 5 pm.

From their online materials: “Our fall show: Shelf Life, featur[es] books from the Institute Library biography collection and art about historic individuals, in all forms - portraits, self- portraits, and more. Artists briefly speak about their work half way through at 5pm. Artists include Adger Cowans, Mary Dwyer, Patricia Fabricant, John T. Hilland Tom Strong, Thomas Mezzanotte, Aly Maderson Quinlog, Allan Rubin, Tina Sarno, Jean Scott, Catherine Vanaria, and Brenda Zlamany with historic biographies from the Institute Library's collection.”

The exhibit was curated by Martha Willette Lewis.
