Five Points Gallery is host to two exhibitions from January 8 to February 7, 2015: "Moses Pendleton Photographs and Takes Long Walks in the Country)" and "Eliptoids: A Quiet Collaboration of Shapes + Shadows", which features the work of Rick Eddinger and Whitey Jenkins.
Moses Pendleton, the artistic director of MOMIX dance company, photographs dancers echoing natural forms as well as the forms in nature that inspire his choreography. There is an excellent article in the Register Citizen which talks about his process.
Still River Editions is proud to have printed Mr. Pendleton's images for the exhibit.
There was an opening reception for both exhibits on Friday, January 9, and there will be an artist conversation with Moses Pendleton on Saturday January 17 at 6 pm. There will be an artist conversation with Rick Eddinger and Whitey Jenkins on Friday, January 23 at 6 pm.
MOMIX's "35th Anniversary Show: A Celebration of Company Favorites" is in performance at the Warner Theatre in Torrington on Saturday, January 17 and Sunday, January 18, both at 8 p.m.
