Saturday, June 14 is CT's Open House Day - please join us and other local venues!

Saturday, June 14 is the State of Connecticut's 10th annual Open House Day, a day on which cultural venues across the state have special offerings for state residents. Many places that charge admission fees have reduced or free admissions, and/or special events or offers.

Please check with individual venues for more information about each venue's events and entrance fees (if applicable). We cannot be responsible for other individual venues' offerings, so please check before you go out.

We will be open from noon - 5 pm with the opening reception for "Wide Awake in Dreamsville: Photographs by James Rohan". There will be refreshments all day, an artist's talk at 3 pm, and informal conversation about photography and printmaking all day. Free.

Gallery open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Art opening for the summer exhibition, live music, food and refreshments, from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.

Trailer Box Gallery at Jim Felice Studio

Open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., visitors can visit the visual art gallery and the on-site sculpture studio and enjoy a musical performance.

Bethel Historical Society
1 pm - 3 pm "'Then and Now' Tour of Downtown Bethel" with Bethel Town Historian Patrick Tierney Will meet 1 pm at 40 Main St. (1842 Second Meeting House). Special discounted price of $3.00 per person. Reservations recommended at 203-743-5893

Brookfield Theatre for the Arts

From 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., offering free tours, refreshments, an afternoon workshop for children, an evening improv for adults and the lobby will features photographs of past shows.

Brookfield Historical Society
165 Whisconier Rd., Brookfield, CT
Free admission from noon until 4 p.m. and all visitors will receive a complimentary Brookfield history booklet.

Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum
258 Main St., Ridgefield
Free admission from noon until 5 pm. Activities include exhibition-inspired hands-on art making projects for all ages.
