Fine art photographer Ben Larrabee of Darien has created an "articulated kozo print" to be auctioned to benefit the Tree Conservancy of Darien.

The Tree Conservancy of Darien and Darien Nature Center are hosting the photo exhibit "Celebration of Trees." The opening reception is March 1 from 6 - 8 pm at Darien Nature Center.

“The final piece will be an articulated Kozo paper print,” Larrabee said. “The image is a tree in winter with its intricate branches silhouetted against the sky. It is printed on Japanese paper made from the bark of the mulberry tree.
"I'll be adding texture and form to this image to enhance the illusion of space. Over the next week I'll interact with the image each day, allowing myself to be led by the work. The finished print will float in a shadow box frame.”
